Kay is a licensed title insurance agent who worked 18 years in the title insurance industry before starting Hometown Title Co. in June 2001. She graduated from the Land Title Institute's Management Development Program in Houston and from an intensive sales training at UW-Madison as well as having attended numerous sales and title seminars.
Born and raised in a suburb of Minneapolis, Kay's family moved to Wisconsin in 1959 where they owned and operated a dairy farm. She graduated from Barron High School.
Kay and husband Mike live in the country south of Dallas and enjoy riding their motorcycle, traveling, camping and reading. Kay has two children, two grand-dogs and a grand-cat as well as two pseudo-children, cats Ole and Sven.
